Dolores Piscotta

Her background is in the fine arts: painting, sculpting, textile design, classical piano and guitar.
Dolores began fashion design in 1996 and sold almost exclusively to boutiques. That ended with the pandemic in 2020 and begins anew with this website, selling directly to customers at wholesale prices.
For the past 27 years, she has specialized in using innovative and luxury yarns in her designs and is most especially known for cashmere sweaters and accessories.
In 2004, Dolores was the first designer in the US to use milk protein fiber in clothing. To make this fiber, cows milk is dehydrated and spun into cloth or yarn. It is a wonderful eco fiber that is purported to impart health benefits while wearing it. It contains as many as 18 amino acids and has a pH of 6.8, the same as humans. Dolores has also used soybean fiber in her designs.
